Hi, hello, it’s World Card Making Day and I’m back today to share the Technique Tuesday Animal House October stamp and die set called Ella & Edward the Elephants! Once again we have a cute couple of pachyderms with accompanying punny sentiments! AND!!? The cutest, tiniest mouse you’ll ever see! (Be sure to read to the end of the post to find out about Technique Tuesday’s WCMD promotion!)
I used just the Ella & Edward stamps and went full-on Copic coloring for this card today! I made a mask of the facing-front Elephant so that I could tuck the smaller one in under the ear of the larger one in a sympathetic way. There are matching dies for this stamp set and I used them on the other cards I made that I’ll be sharing soon.
I also made masks using the Fine Ferns stamp set from Create A Smile for the leafy branches above their heads to create a jungle. To color the sky with it’s shading from dark around the leaf edges to lighter in the center, I used Copics B01, B00 and B000.
The elephants were colored in all the N-tones of Copic markers and the leaves are many shades of greens and blue-greens. I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder before trimming it down and adhering it to the card front.
You can shop the individual Animal House stamp and die sets here, (shipping begins October 15) and you can become a member and get each month’s stamp and die set straight to your door for a reduced price!
