Another Technique Tuesday Monkey Business Project!

Hi guys, I’m back with another card featuring the Monkey Business (Animal House Series) April stamp set!

This project is being featured on the Technique Tuesday blog today and I wanted to share it here as well. I began by covering an A2 sized card panel of Neenah Solar White cardstock with the two swinging monkey images from the Monkey Business stamp set. I stamped with brown ink, then trimmed ⅛” off each side. I stamped the 3rd monkey (Football Huddle Monkey as I’ve taken to calling him) image onto the same cardstock, using alcohol friendly ink, and colored him with Copic markers before die cutting him out. I also die cut another 3 of the same shape and glued them in a stack to give the colored image some extra dimension.

I used some Lawn Fawn stitched border dies to create interest on the top and bottom edges of a wide strip of brown cardstock on which I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment. Then I wrapped the brown strip with thin jute string and layered that over the stamped background panel. Finally, I adhered the Copic colored monkey stack, a few matching enamel dots and this card is complete. Pretty simple, but dang cute if you ask me!
