Hi, and thank you for joining us today for Day 3 of Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags! An annual event, this is the 10th year for Tracey to host it and today is the day for Altenew inspiration! I used a number of amazing Altenew products to create these two tags. Beginning with the Terrific Tags Die set, I die cut two tags from watercolor paper using the largest tag die in the set.
One tag I painted (actually, smooshed paint puddles from a watercolor palette onto the paper) and the other I left plain. I die cut each of the dies in the Festive Clusters dies set, and several layers of the smallest of the leaf dies in the Poinsettia 3D Dies set.
For the white tag, I painted the cluster die cut with watercolor paint and let it dry. I die cut a center die cut from the Poinsettia dies and painted it as well, then adhered it to the center of the large flower. I stamped a greeting from the Holiday Tag Sentiments stamp set and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Cute, simple and easy!
For the blue watercolor smooshed tag, I painted three layers of the smallest leaf die in the Poinsettia dies set, and once dry, glued them all together with a die cut center on top. I used Altenew Artist Markers to color the leaves, then adhered the pink flower on top of the Cluster die cut. I stamped another greeting from the Holiday Tag Sentiments set and gold heat embossed once more. Both tags are finished with a white ribbon/gold cord/blue striped baker’s twine tied to the top of the tag.
