The card I’m sharing today features the March Stamp of the Month Kit. Sentiment Stacks is a wide selection of sentiments, in fun and trendy fonts and it has you covered for all the occasions where you might want to say Sorry, Thanks, Miss You, Hello, Love and Happy Birthday! Today’s card is perfect for a sympathy card.
I combined the sentiment from this month’s stamp kit with some dies from a Spellbinders set, called Feathers. I die cut the feathers from some scraps of painted watercolor paper where I was practicing and didn’t love the final result but also didn’t want to throw the painted paper away. And so, they got a second chance to shine on this card!
I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of textured cardstock that matched the paint colors, and heat embossed with with white embossing powder.
I found a cool piece of patterned paper in a new Reverse Confetti paper pad that complimented the painted feathers and sentiment strip, trimmed it down by 1/8th” on all sides and adhered it to a card base. Then I tied the three feathers together with FSJ Natural Thread and adhered them in position hanging from the sentiment strip. Very clean and simple and perfect for a sympathy card. I completed the card with the addition of a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
