Today Altenew is introducing the latest Build-A-Flower stamp and die set, plus doing a Giveaway! Each month Altenew releases another Build-A-Flower set and I think the Cattleya Orchid this month is especially beautiful!
I was itching to watercolor again – I hadn’t done any for a while – so I elected to use the outline stamped image and paint it in.
I love to do this style of watercolor painting – not worrying too much about staying inside lines, or the correct areas for light and dark. I also love to spread the color out into the background and let it blend and dry as it likes. There are a lovely selection of sentiments in this stamp set and in my favorite typewriter font!
Of course it needs a few paint speckles to be considered finished!
