Hi there! Is it f-f-f-f-reezing where you are?? I’m in Minnesota at the moment and it’s all the chilly I can handle! Today’s card though, is perfect for this kind of weather!
I’m using the December Animal House stamp and die set from Technique Tuesday again, called Felicity and Flynn the Foxes and they are a perfect pair to convey a snuggle-up message!
I stamped my fox images onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers before die cutting with the coordinating dies. For the background, I combined a Memory Box Cascade Evergreen Frame die cut from a darker green cardstock, with the Frantic Stamper Small Pine and Small Oregon Fir dies die cutting from a paler version of the darker green cardstock. I adhered those trees overtop a pale grey/blue cardstock background panel, and then splattered the whole panel with white gouache paint thinned a little with water.
I added the sentiment on this card with the “cuddle weather” sentiment from the Technique Tuesday Hello Winter stamp set from last year, along with the “HAPPY” portion of the “Happy Birthday” sentiment stamp from the “Let’s Party” stamp set. I cut it off with my scissors fully confident that it will match up perfectly the next time I need to stamp Happy Birthday and liking the perfect font match with the “cuddle weather” part! I colored in the open letters of the sentiment with grey Copic colors, and tied everything together with a matching puffy plaid heart sticker from Freckled Fawn.
That’s it for my Animal House cards for the month! Well, YEAR, I guess!? I can hardly believe how close we are to another new year! It was a VERY short time ago we were stressing about Y2K and here it is, 20 years later!!??
