I began this card by stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Classic Crest 110 lb paper because I planned to color the image with alcohol markers (listed below).
In January, the Greenhouse Society set included the crocus in a jar image plus 8 individual sentiments and a coordinating outline die for the crocus as well as word dies to cut out Thank, Miss and You. I used the dies to die cut my greeting from heavyweight black cardstock, and added an extra strip to separate the background and foreground.
I dry embossed an A2 sized card panel of white cardstock with the Taylored Expressions Herringbone embossing folder, then used a light hand and an Altenew blending tool to add some Sea Glass blue ink to the background behind where the vase would sit.
I found a piece of plain grey cardstock in my stash and trimmed it to fit the bottom to create the illusion of the vase sitting on a surface.
After positioning all the elements and adhering them to a folded card base, I added a few select sequins in coordinating colors. Also, you guys!? I just recently refreshed the sticky on my Marvy Jewel Picker using some Stencil Magic repositionable stencil adhesive, and I’ll tell you what, it works better now than a vacuum cleaner with a fresh bag! Or whatever, (grin). Here’s a video to show you how it works.
