Hi, hello! I’m up on the Jane’s Doodles blog today with a couple of cards and wanted to share them here as well! Recently Jane’s Doodles released two new stamp sets and today I’m using the Tropical Fun stamp set.
It’s a stamp set with a great variety of tropical motifs and sweet sentiments. I love the leaves. There’s never a time when I can’t use some good leaf images! But I adore the flamingos!
To create these cards, I stamped a whole collection of leaves, pineapples and flamingos onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and heat embossed with clear powder. Then I colored all the images with Arteza and Kuretake Zig real brush markers and cut them out.
I also die cut small panels from the same card stock using dies from Papertrey Ink (the flamingo card) and Spellbinders (the pineapple card) on which I stamped and heat embossed the sentiments. I arranged my hand cut images on each panel, matted them on coordinating colored card stock, mounted them with foam tape onto some amazing woodgrain patterned paper and called it good.
I’m excited to think of the many other Jane’s Doodle stamp sets this one will coordinate with! You’ll see what I mean when you check out AHOY, HIBISCUS and SMILE.
Even though Tropical Fun was just released, it’s been super popular and has already sold out of the Jane’s Doodles store. It will be restocked but if waiting is not your strong suit, you can still find it at Simon Says Stamp. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
