This is a beautiful stamp set! Actually all of the Jane’s Doodles florals are, but I especially love this one for the options of a complete arrangement plus ten individual components that you can build your own floral arrangement with. So of course, I had to try it both ways!

My first card features all of the individual stamps, stamped onto watercolor cardstock – an inferior brand that I won’t be using again. Sorry, I don’t make a practice of ragging on products or companies, but opting for a bright white watercolor paper isn’t worth the trade-off of poor ink/paint absorption. However, in the end, I made it work, and quite like the end result of these cards.

I stamped each of the individual stamps twice with water-proof Versafine Onyx black ink, then used watercolor pencils to color each image. I fussy cut all the pieces and played with their composition to come up with an arrangement I liked.

Once again, Glad Press ’N’ Seal saved my bacon keeping all the pieces in place until I could glue them together on the back side. I painted another piece of watercolor cardstock with a muddy mix of colors, then die cut with a stitched rectangle die to create the background panel for the flower arrangement to adhere to.

I stamped the greeting with this beautiful hand-written font, onto the cardstock, using a MISTI to ensure perfect coverage of ink on this very textured paper. Then I popped up the rectangle card panel with foam tape and adhered it to a card base covered with a piece of very bold floral paper! If you know me, you know I like my patterned paper and use it frequently – but this one is a bit of a leap even for me! But I love how it supports the floral theme without overwhelming the whole card.

Next up, we have a card featuring the large stamp in the Hope set, the complete floral arrangement. I stamped this one onto more of the same white-white watercolor paper and painted it with a mix of Mijello Mission Gold and Daniel Smith paints.

Once painted and dry, I fussy cut the arrangement and placed it overtop of another panel of watercolor cardstock, then positioned a variety of leaf stamps around the arrangement. I used the MISTI to pick up the leaf stamps then removed the painted flower cluster so I could stamp on the background panel.

I stamped in layers using the leaves from the Hope set, as well as from the Dahlia and the Peony stamp sets, stamping the outline images with pale gray, green and blue inks. Then I die cut the leafy panel with a stitched rectangle die, adhered the painted flower image to it, and popped up the panel with foam tape on the back.

I covered a folded card base with some coordinating plaid patterned paper and added the stamped image and die cut panel to that. I used the same greeting from the Hope set as on the card above.

I have a few more cards coming soon with other Jane’s Doodles stamp sets, so be sure to check back often! Or click subscribe so you get notified of new posts by email! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
